The Signs, Signals and Codes Merit Badge Emblem signifies a scout who has considerable skill and knowledge in multiple signaling methods. A scout must, among other requirements, explain the importance of signaling, describe techniques such as ASL, and share at leats 10 examples of symbols used in everyday life. This Merit badge is not a requirement to become an Eagle Scout. Merit Badges are awarded to Scouts who complete the requirements for each badge.
