The Scouts BSA Second Class Emblem recognizes Scouts who have successfully completed the Second Class Scout requirements. On their path to earning the Second Class Rank Patch, Scouts will learn valuable outdoor survival and camping skills, including compass work, nature observation, camp tools, and swimming. After earning the Scouts BSA Second Class Emblem, Scouts should be able to lead a hike, care for equipment, set up a campsite, and perform basic first aid.
