This medal is only available for adults that have either earned the Distinguished Conservationist Award, or the Hornaday Gold Medal. This is a recognition for an adult Scouter who has rendered distinguished and exemplary service to natural resource conservation and environmental improvement over a sustained period of at least 20 years and is awarded by the National Conservation Awards Committee. Verify that they have received this award. Past recipients of a Hornaday Badge do not qualify for this medal.
