This medal is only for recipients of the Distinguished Conservation Service Award or the Hornaday Silver Award or the Hornaday Bronze Award. Distinguished Conservation Service Award Individual awards are granted by the National Council through the local Council’s Conservation Committee to a member of a Scouts BSA, Sea Scout, or Venturing unit for exceptional and distinguished service to conservation and environmental improvement. Verify that they have earned the medal, not a badge. Past recipients of a Hornaday Badge do not qualify for this medal.
