This helpful tool is perfect for use on your next Scouting adventure thanks to its ability to safely protect your camp fire in wet conditions, prevent embers from flying away and keeping coals warm for up to 8 hours. The Fire Blanket can resist temperatures up to 2500°F (typical fires sit at about 1500°F) and features two layers. The outer layer is made of high temperature, weather-resistent silicone, where the inner layer is made of military grade woven glass fabric. There is an aluminum alloy vent that allows you to control air flow, so you can help extend the life of your fire or use the blanket to extinguish it. The kit also comes with eight-10' stakes to help secure the blanket and one-2 piece, adjustable fire stake to allow you to control pitching and prevent water build up. The Campfire Defender measures 68" x 60", can be easily stored for transport and is tested for use with over 100 fires. The convenient carrying case and heat-resistant gloves are included.

How To Use the Campfire Defender Fire Cover
Adjust the Fire Stake Height to Your Fire Ring
Adjust the threaded Fire Stake rod to the desired height by turning the nut washer to prevent the Fire Cover from sitting directly on the fire.
Lay Out the Campfire Defender Fire Cover
Fully open the Campfire Defender, with the green-coated side facing up. Place it down next to the fire pit, preparing it to be placed over the fire ring.
Cover Your Fire
Using caution, pick up the Campfire Defender and center over the campfire ring. Set the cover down allowing the side to fall over your fire ring and touch the ground.
Secure the Fire
Use the tent stakes provided and stake the Campfire Defender to the ground. This will ensure that the Campfire Defender does not move off the fire or blow off in windy conditions.
Put Your Fire to Sleep
Adjust the aluminum vent to control airflow to preserve your campfire coals for the next morning or extinguish them for the night.
