#GetReadyForCamp 2020: The Events, Giveaways and Deal
We are going all-out with #GetReadyForCamp to make sure that you are ready for all things camping or summer camp this year! We have a full line up of exciting ways to get involved and prepare for the best time of summer.

Facebook Live Events and Giveaways
We are working with our friends at Boys’ Life Magazine to host four Facebook Live discussions to talk all about camping and summer camp hot topics! Each live event will have TWO giveaways as well – all you have to do is comment on the live video to be entered to win. All Facebook Live events will be held at 5pm EST.
Topics include:
- Friday, June 12th: It’s the Get Ready for Camp Kickoff! We will discuss what Get Ready for Camp is all about and how to go camping your way this summer, along with introduce you to our guests that will be with us over the next two weeks. This chat will also give you an inside look at what we have lined up for you on our upcoming Facebook Live events! Two lucky watchers will each win a $30 gift card to Scout Shops and a Kelty 15L Daypack.
- Tuesday, June 16th: What You Need for Your Camping Adventure. The discussion will cover the top 5 tips on how to pack, things to pack and what NOT to pack, and we will also go over personal gear and socks (because happy feet make for a happy camper!). Whether you are heading off to summer camp or camping a bit closer to home, this live discussion will have tidbits for everyone! Two listeners will be crowned winners – one will win K3 Duffle Bag and one will win a Klymit sleeping pad and Klymit pillow.
- Friday, June 19th: Coolest Gadgets at the Campsite. We will cover some really camp cool add-ins (like headlamps, knives, lanterns, and Goal Zero products) for your pack that will make camping easier! Two winners will be chosen. Instagram Live Discussion
On Friday, June 26th at 5pm EST, we will be pulling in our Scouting America Programs expert to chat about camping. This is THE PLACE for you to bring any questions you have about summer camp, campouts, and how to have the best experience, even in the midst of the COVID-19 climate.
