Every four years, one of the biggest Scouting events on the planet brings thousands of Scouts together for a week-long adventure filled with fun and good fellowship. From rafting and climbing to skeet shooting, zip-lining, and extreme sports like mountain biking and skateboarding, there are many fun things to do at the Jamboree. If you're gearing up to attend the 2026 National Jamboree at the Summit, read on to learn more about all the exciting activities and events the Scouting America has in store for you!

The fun begins with our host. The Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia, is a 10,000-acre Scouting haven with incredible facilities and outdoor programs. One of four facilities managed by the National Council of the Scouting America, it also serves as a High Adventure Base and Family Adventure Camp offering a range of outdoor experiences like 50+ miles of backpacking style travel on inflatable rafts and bikepacking through the wilds of Appalachia.

The Summit's facilities are equipped to handle several activities, including:

With so many different activities and events, a big part of fueling the fun is being prepared. The Jamboree will take place in the middle of summer, so you should bring sunscreen, bug repellent, towels, and a water bottle. If you need a new water bottle, we recommend this 32 oz.
